Firms are not admitted as Mcmlwrs ; but if one partner of a firm becomes a Member
the firm is allowed to exhibit at Members‘ rates.
6. To have Fcrtiliscrs and Feeding—Stuffs, (96., analysed at reduced fees.
'7. To obtain Reports on the Animal Enemies of Crop Plants and Live Stock
(including Poultry).

n. Report on damage to, or diseases of, plants and animals due to animal agency
(Insects, Mites, \Vorms, Snails, Slugs, Birds, and the Smaller Mammals).

TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP, &C.
The influence and usefulness of the Society depend mainly upon its strength in
membership. The Memben, through the Directors whom they elect, have the
practical control of the affairs of the Socict '. The stronger the body of Members,
the greater will be the usefulnesn of the ocioty. It will therefore be to both
their own and the public advmtu o if all who are interested in agriculture. and
who are not already enrolled, sho d at once become Members of the Society.
ELECTION OF MEMBERS.
Candidates for admission to the Society must be proposed by a Member, and are
elected at tho half-youer General Meetin s in J unuary and June. It is not neces-
sary that, the proposer should attend the ’eeting.
RATES OF SUBSCRIPTION.
HIGHER SUBSCRIPTION.
Tho ordinary annual subscription is: £1, 35. 6d., and the ordinary subscription
for life-membership is £12, 122;. ; or after ten annual payments hsve been made,
£7, 73.
LOWER SUBSCRIPTION.
Proprietors farming the whole of their own lands, whose rental on the Valuation
Roll does not exceed £500 per unnum, and all Tenant-Farmers, Secretaries or
Treasurers of Level Agricultural Associations, Factors resident on Estates, Land
Stewards, Foresters, Agricultural Implement Makers, Grain, Seed and Manure
Merchants, Agricultural Auctioneers, Cattle Dealers and Veterinnry Surgeons,
none of them being also owners of land to an extent exceeding £500 per mum,
and such other persons on, in respect of their otficial or other connection with
agriculture, the Board of Directors may consider eligible, arc admith on a sub-
scription of 105. annually, which may be redcemed by one paymont of £7, 79.,
and after eight annual payments! of 103. have boon made, a Life Subscription may
be purchased for £5, 65., and after twelve such payments, for £3, 35.
I! must ba stated, on behalf of Candidates claiming to ba admitted at the Lowcr Rate of
Subscription (10s.), under which of the above designations (key on entitled to be
admitted at the Lower Rats.
Subscriptions are payable on election. and afterwards annually in January.
According to the Charter, 3 Member who shall not. have objected to his election,
on the some being intimnted to him by the Secretary, cannot retire until he
has paid, in annual subscriptions or otherwise, an amount equivalent to a life
composition.
Member: are requested to sand to tho Secretory ths names and addresses of
Candidates proposed for admission to the Society, at; the same time stating whe‘her
